Vases often have a sensual form, what is emphasized by the terms by which we describe them: as if it concerns a person we speak of her body, haar belly, her neck and her ear.
The assemblings of Stil are combinations of vases and small furniture. By making them all white or uni-colour the emphasis is strongly put on the forms and the composing parts melt together in a total form. The turned legs of the stools and the Queen Anne-like legs of the tabouret enter into a fascinating picture rhyme with the curves of the vase-form(s). The tone of the assemblings is meditative: we are being compeled to take a good look, due to the absence of colour we are able to zoom in on the individual forms and on the form as a whole. Despite of the richness of swellings and neckings in the form, all assemblings have a still serenity.
All Stil assemblings are suitable for silk flowers and dried natural materials.
